A Novel Enhanced Differential Evolution Algorithm for Outbound Logistics of the Poultry Industry in Thailand

Outbound logistics is a crucial field of management. This study considers planning distribution for the poultry industry in Thailand. The goal to minimize transportation cost multi-depot vehicle-routing problem (MDVRP). A novel enhanced differential evolution algorithm (RI-DE) developed based on new re-initialization mutation formula and local search function. mixed-integer programming formulation presented order measure performance heuristic with GA, PSO, DE small-sized instances. For large-sized instances, RI-DE compared traditional solving MDVRP using published benchmark results demonstrate that obtained near-optimal solution 99.03% outperformed 2.53% relative improvement, not only terms performance, but also computational time.
